The first time I heard Hum Drum Blues , it was being sung by the prolific American Jazz vocalist Sheila Jordan. It rolls off her tongue like honey-- on her 1963 debut album Portrait of Sheila.
Songwriter, composer, and political activist Oscar Brown Jr conveys a kind and universal message- to rise up and create a better life, one needs to get out of one's own way.
